I had previously bought the full kit but then the collar broke after a couple of years, This is not a criticism of the product as our dog is a strong animal and would be getting himself into all sorts of scrapes. Delighted though to be able to replace the collar on its own and not have to buy a whole new kit. I contacted Western Pets about this and they were very helpful and sent me the link to buy exactly what I needed and it was delivered promptly. The only down side was looking at my poor dogs face on those couple of days that he wasn't free to wander within the 100 metres and so had to be confined to a much smaller space.... He wasn't happy. It's a great system and I for one am delighted that I know our dog can wander within the distance I permit and yet he won't get lost.

I purchased this collar for my dog. I initially had a few issues with it as dog wasn't getting a shock near boundary. Have two dogs a 7 year old Dalmatian and a year old Wolfhound Our Dalmatian was fitted with the collar last year after repeatedly failing to keep her within her own garden despite having over an acre of space and daily walks. We’d hoped that the Wolfhound would follow by example and stay within the garden with the Dalmatian but the barking of the neighbours dog was too much to ignore and she started leaving our garden heading across the road for a play day so collar number two was purchased. I was initially happy with my original product witch was the full set of collar and signal unit. Unfortunately I had to replace the collar unit as the switch failed after 8 months. I feel this should have least lasted 12. Other than that it works fine. We have a big yard and the wireless product suits us. If you are limited the wired product works better . I find the signal is effected by why may reduce signal strength like walls etc. but overall it’s works and stops our dog getting onto the road.
She learned very quickly with basic training where the barrier is.
